A {Little} Celeb Bashing

I am a celeb/reality star aholic...if there is such a thing! Z and I watch more reality TV than normal dramas.

Since I am a big fan of the Real Housewives of Everywhere, bigger fan of orange county, I always pay close attention to what the women are wearing!

Now I love me some Tamara Barney, however girlfriend has been rocking the same pair of white True Religion jeans all season. I know she makes good money...like buy another pair in a different color. Or just don't wear them every show.

exhibit A:

Tamra Barney and new boyfriend Eddie Judge

exhibit B:

Like I said I love Tamara and her "no filter" mouth, but girlfriend needs some new jeans!

moving on....

What pops into your head when I say Jessica Simpson??

This picture by chance??

I am all for the cute prego girl and her growing belly, but she is dressing horrible!

Like, hello....you have more money than the next mogul woman...get a better design team. You and I both know you can afford it!

Any celebs running around there that you have seen dressing horrible lately?

Happy Hunger Games {Movie Review}

..."and may the odds be ever in your favor"

I still have about 10 chapters left in the first book, however I could not wait to go see the movie.

Like the Twilight movies, if you have read the book it is a good refresher of what you have already read. If you are not a reader, make an exception, you will not regret it!

The movie producers did such a good job of staying with the story line of the book for the most part. The only big thing they left out was where Haymitch tells Katniss and Peeta to go about the games as a team. You get the idea of it, but it would have been easy to let him work that into a conversation.

I about died when I saw they casted Woody Harrelson as Haymitch. I could not have picked a better Hymatch myself! He is spot on with how Haymitch is portrayed in the book.

The moment that Katniss volunteered as tribute, I was fighting back tears. This is such an emotional time in the book and you can really see it come to life in the movie.

I love how they made the Capitol people look! It is just as I envisioned when reading the book!

Overall, I really loved the movie. Dare I say they did a better job at the first movie than Twilight did at theirs...gasp, I know I know!

Speaking of Twilight, I was so excited to know the trailer for the upcoming movie was going to be shown.

Seriously though, this is all you give us???

I would have liked a bit more of a teaser than that!!

Lastly, I had a dream Monday night I was in the Hunger Games! I have not had that bad of sleep in a really long time...obviously I did not do well. Seriously, I would just run to the cornucopia to die! There is no way I could ever have the survivor skills like Katniss! Randomly I know how to shoot a deer rifle and shot gun (I think secretly my dad wanted a boy and as punishment he got the biggest girly girl ha!)

So other than knowing how to shoot those two guns, I would be completely hopeless!

What did you guys think of the movie? Can't wait to finish the first book so I can move on to the next!

Random {Tuesday}

Did any of you watch Desparate Housewives on Sunday??

Holy moly ugly face crying....I seriously felt like I was one of Susan's best friends and I was mourning the loss Mike.

I was trying so hard not to do a full out cry session so Z wouldn't think I was crazy lol

I am not going to be able to handle what else they have planned if its going to be like this!

Insanity Update

I am officially not hating it but I still dislike it! Lol

I have not worked out this hard since I was in high school doing two-a-days.

On the bright side, I have been sleeping better and I have lost 3.5 pounds over 2 weeks.

Not too bad since I drank a lot of sangria on Saturday night!

Weekend {Update}

Friday Night -

Z and I worked out (yay for us), then I cooked us a very healthy dinner of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy....we may have cancelled out our workout with that.

We also watched the new Footloose

this movie was so cute and I literally wanted to bust a move after watching it!

Saturday -

Z and I had our "date day" in Dallas. I was on a mission to get these super cute pants at H&M that I saw on their iphone app and get a Sprinkles cupcake!

H&M and North Park were a bust all together...

However, we did see some new clothing trends - Do you think they will stick?

Sprinkles did not disappoint...I got their yummy strawberry and banana chocolate cupcakes! They were amazing!

Saturday night we went out to dinner and had drinks with Alyssa and Chase!

We had an amazing dinner at Fireside Pies. Seriously their Sangria is to die for...like I could drink it all day!

All of us were so cute in our green attire for St. Patty's Day!

the green beer was cold and cheap, but it was Miller Light which is not good!

Z got his picture with Brooke Jeeter from CMT's Texas Women...I was bummed I did not get to meet her!

Sunday -

We surprised my parents and took them to lunch after they got out of church. We had a good time catching up and possibly my mom may give us a break since we have not been to Springtown in sooo long!

Sunday night we went to Joe T's in Fort Worth with our friends from McKinney. It was so good to see them because I had not seen them since the wedding! Way too long!

How was your weekend? Anything fun for St. Patty's day?

My {Brag} Board

...err I mean brag blog.

I do brag on here a lot I feel, however today is a special special day!!!

**WE PAID OFF MY STUDENT LOAN**

It feels so good to say that!!

Poor Z not only did he acquire a "high maintenance lover of all the finer things in life" wife, he also acquired 2 credit cards, a student loan, mortgage, and 1 fat English bulldog!

We have officially paid off all of my debt except the house of course!

This past year has been about paying off debt and we love seeing our hard work payoff - literally!

So a big CHEERS to us...

and like my Mother always reminds me...

"Short term sacrifice for long term success!"

Product Review {Mary Kay}

My friend from college, Jenny, sent me a whole goodie bag of Mary Kay! I was so excited to try everything out since it has been a very long time since I have tried Mary Kay.

The first product I tried was the Eyeliner in Violet Ink

I was a little worried at first because I had never worn purple eyeliner but it actually looked really good with my brown eyes. This eyeliner went on very easy and stayed on all day. I will definitely be purchasing this!

The next product I tried was the TimeWise Luminous Wear Liquid Foundation

The shade she sent me was a little lighter than my skin (not her fault, it is hard to judge someones skin tone if they are not right in front of you), however it was amazing coverage and I did not feel like I had a ton of foundation caked on all day. This product is also anti aging....I am all about fighting wrinkles early!

I also tried the Ultimate Mascara

This mascara I did have to apply more than I normally do because it does not seem to go on as thick as I like for my mascara to be. I do not have long beautiful eyelashes so I need a lot of help in that department. One thing that is nice about this is that it does not clump.

The last product and my most favorite product was the TimeWise Miracle Set

I absolutely love love this skin care line! Like I said before I am all for fighting wrinkles early on so that they are not there or not visible when I get older! I really loved the cleanser because it had little beads in it that I felt were really cleaning my face and getting rid of dirt.

The day and night lotion was very light and not greasy.

My overall experience trying out Mary Kay went really well. I will definitely be purchasing the Time Wise Miracle Set and the Violet Ink Eyeliner.

Do you have any favorite Mary Kay items?

****If you buy Mary Kay or want to try it for the first time, Jenny is offering 15% off to my blog followers! Just mention that you heard about it from me and she will give you 15% off your order!***

Another {First}

I am really starting 25 out with a bang...yesterday I had my very first cavity filled. I guess it was too much to hope to leave this earth with never having a cavity...

I was so worked up all weekend long an especially yesterday at work because I had no idea what to expect.

Like was it going to be this horrible pain that will scar me for life? Will I absolutely hate my dentist that I love after this? Seriously all of this was going through my mind (ridiculous I know)

So when I arrived at the dentist I let him know I was very nervous and he assured me I had nothing to worry about and to help he would give me laughing gas.

Now the last time I had laughing gas I was like in Kindergarten because I had to get two teeth pulled.

When he first put the tube over my nose I was not feeling a thing and started worrying even more that it was not going to work....then I all of a sudden had no worries in the world and was the most relaxed I have been in my entire life!

If I could get away with having laughing gas at home to help me relax when I am stressed to the max I would definitely have an unlimited supply!

I was even so relaxed I decided to send Z this picture of me....I think I have looked better

Needless to say getting the cavity filled was easy breezy, even though I hope to not ever have to do it again!

Any new first for you guys and gals in 2012?

side note...no judgement to be placed with the above picture...I was under the influence!

Week {Events}

Sunday

Z and I were joking around with each other and he was telling me how I am a horrible promise keeper..blah blah blah...me laughing at him made him decide he would tell me that he was going to send my birthday present back, however it came out like this....

Z: Hey remember that purse I got you for your birthday?
(long pause)
E: You got me the purse I wanted for my birthday?!?!
Z throws his head in his hands....

My husband can not keep a secret to save his life!

So ladies I got the purse...and its HUGE!!!

Seriously...I could fit two children in this thing! I am trying to decide if I rock it or take it back..thoughts??

moving on...

Tuesday Morning

Even though Z and I have been talking about it for the last month...it all hit me that he was actually leaving for the week and this was about to be a normal thing.

Then I get this sweet text from his mom -

Cue crying like a baby - ugly face and all....

Seriously I sobbed on Z's shoulder like he was leaving for war and I was never going to see him ever again.

AND I cried all the way to work...pathetic!

I just love my man and want to be with him 24/7 (ok, maybe a little exaggeration on the 24/7)

moving on....

Wednesday Evening

My mommy decided to come stay with me Wednesday night and for us to have a girls night over off of 7th street by my work. She decided that she would go let my fur babies out since they had been in their kennels all day.

She calls me before leaving my house just to confirm our little pup Louie can NOT get out of our gated area..I confirmed that I did not think he could and that they would be fine out there!

After drinks at Bar Louie, dinner at Chuy's and a quick Costco trip we finally make it to my house around 9pm.

As I walk up to my door I notice I have a note taped to my door that reads:

"Louie got out and was running around the driveway so he is in my house. Call my neighbor and she will let you in my house"

Yes I am an awful dog owner...by poor little guy got out of our gated area and was running wild!

Luckily I live in a gated community with AMAZING neighbors who know my dogs are mine!

Those two neighbors are going to get a little present dropped by their house today to show how thankful I am that they found Louie!

Moral of the story....do not let me watch your dogs or children because they will run away!

Yay for tomorrow being Friday and it being my birthday weekend!!!
