Hi Ladies, my name is Amanda Hicks,
and I am about to rock your world by telling you how to get a salon quality,
perfect manicure from the comfort of your own home, in a fraction of the time,
with your blow-dryer! Yep! I said it, your Blow-Dryer!!
First off, I would like to say a HUGE THANK
YOU to Erin for allowing me to share to her wonderful readers, YOU, about the
amazing world of Jamberry Nail Shields.
So how do you do Jamberry
nails?! Well let me show you just how
easy it is!
First, gather all your manicure (or pedicure)
materials. Here’s a list of what you’ll
need {and I bet you already have most, if not all of this, already lying around
the house} It’s just fabulous I tell ya!
This is what you’ll need:
·
Blow-dryer
·
Alcohol {or nail polish remover}
·
Cotton Balls (not pictured)
·
Orange Stick or Cuticle Pusher
·
Nail Buffer
·
Nail file, Scissors, and/or Clippers
·
Nail Brush (optional)
·
Tweezers (optional)
·
Jamberry Cuticle Oil (optional)
Here is a full sheet of Jamberry Nail Shields
up close. These are the Zebra Jamberry’s, aren’t they cute & sassy??!!
Here’s what you do:
Step
1: Wash your hands and clean nails with
nail polish remover or alcohol. {I
always use blue Dial soap to wash my hands & alcohol because my nail beds
are a little oily}
Step 2: Cut and file
nails to your desired length and shape.
Step
3: Push back your cuticle and lightly buff the top of your nail {just enough to
get the nail shine off}. Then clean nail
once more with alcohol and let dry.
Step 4: Match
your nail (finger or toe) to the nail shield that best fits. Cut the shield in half. (Note: each shield
provides two applications) – I’m telling you, they’re just wonderful! ;)
Step 5 (my favorite part!): Peel off nail shield and warm with a
blow-dryer for 10-15 seconds or until the shield is soft and flexible. {I use
tweezers so my fingers don’t get too hot from the blow-dryer, and see how the
shield is cut in half?}
Step
6: When the shield is warm, press the shield onto the nail. Apply firm pressure
around the edges so the shield adheres to your nail. Use a rubber cuticle pusher to seal the
shield around the cuticle. {Extra TIP: I
usually apply a little more heat for a few more seconds once the shield is on,
until the shield slightly curves around the edge of my nail. Then I apply some
more pressure to create a good seal – there’s no such thing as too much heat or
pressure}
Step
7: Trim the top with scissors and file off remaining shield using a downward
motion to remove the excess.
Step
8: Apply heat and pressure to the shield again until it is sealed to your nail
& TADA perfect Manicure!!!
So
I did one hand to show you, and look how many shields I still have left over on
my set!!
