This Easter weekend was a long and very busy weekend for Z and I!
Good Friday we started our flower beds, which I am so ecstatic about, and went to see the new American Reunion movie with our friends Jonathan and Alissa!!
Now I have never seen any of the other movies besides the American Wedding (which I watched on TBS) so I need to watch all of them and then watch American Reunion again so that I can get all of the jokes! I was not allowed to watch these movies when they came out and I guess I never had the desire before to watch them. However, this movie was still really funny!
Saturday we headed to College Station to see my sister Hannah for her pre-birthday weekend and watch some Texas Aggie baseball!
Z got yelled at (in a friendly manner) for not partaking in any of the Aggie traditions while watching the baseball game....he may be too much of a Texas fan to cheer on the Aggies!
Sunday after our drive home from college station we headed to my grandparents house for the annual Mayo family Easter!
Every year we have a egg toss and egg relay!
This year I decided since I had on a new dress I would not partake, however I snapped some good pictures!
Z and my cousin Cassie were the winners of the egg toss this year!
Z and my cousin Chrissy during the egg relay.
I made Z take some Spring pics with me!
And my aunt's signature pose...the around the tree!
Sunday night I cooked Easter dinner for our married friends, the Lambs and the Clarks!
Since I was cooking a couple of Paula Dean recipes, I HAD to wear my Paula Dean apron!!
Our side dishes were 3 cheese scallop potatoes, glazed carrots and BLT deviled eggs!
These are the popovers that I made for the first time! Super yummy however I did not realize you were suppose to eat them as soon as they get out of the oven! I will remember next time!
We also had Dr. Pepper ham and Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding!
It was so nice to catch up with family and our friends this past weekend! I hope everyone had a great Easter!!!
Xoxo,
"E"
I am in the same boat- my parents didn't let me see any of the American Pie movies so I feel like I really need to see them before I see the new one. Apparently I have been missing out on a lot of pop culture references...
