Our {Very} First Wedding Shower!!

My bridesmaids gave me my very first wedding shower this past Saturday! It was so amazing, they did such a great job with everything!

Here is the shower invite

Hiedi, one of my bridesmaids, made punch which was amazing and had a little champagne in it!

Krystal, also one of my bridesmaids, had a lady close to our home town make this delicious and beautiful cake.

A sandwich shop in Burleson made the food, which was sooo yummy!

The shower was at one of my DZ sister's house in Burleson.

We played two really fun games, one being trivia questions about Z and I and the other one was a spice game. You had to smell a spice and try to guess what it was. This was very difficult!!

Here is a small preview of the shower:

The above picture are some of my bridesmaids and hostesses of the shower.

It was so much fun getting new goodies for our home and seeing friends that I had not seen in a while! Z and I are very blessed to have such amazing people in our lives as we start our new journey as husband and wife.

{Falling} Behind!!

So since we got back from our mini vacay to Austin our life has been like this...

We have been doing nothing except working, making wedding invitations and sleeping!!

My mom and I got 100 top layer of the wedding invitation done last night and we have 100 more to do tonight! I am not sure what I would do without her!!

Sorry I am putting my blog on the back burner but I will be back full force Sunday!!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend!!!

Recipe of The Week - Peanut Butter Cup {Blondies}

Preheat oven to 350

Combine 1 1/4 Cups of flour, 1 Cup Sugar, 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder, 1/4 Teaspoon Salt stirring well with a whisk.

Combine 1/3 Cup of Creamy Peanut Butter, 1/4 Cup melted butter (cooled slightly), 2 Tablespoons 2% Milk, 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract, 2 Large Eggs (lightly beaten) and stir well

Add peanut butter mixture to flour mixture and stir until combined. Then add 1/4 Cup Semisweet chocolate chips

Scrape batter into a 9 inch square metal baking pan lightly coated with cooking spray and arrange the peanut butter cups over batter.

Side note: I did not have a 9 inch pan so I just improvised!

Bake at 350 degrees for 19 minutes and Viola!

Serve with a glass of Milk and enjoy!

Recipe is from the September Issue of Cooking Light
