3 {Years} Ago....

Three years ago I purchased my first home...

In those three years I got a roommate (My husband of course!), got engaged, married, we got our 2nd puppy, hosted parties, holidays, 2 Christmas's and celebrated our 1 year anniversary.

It was definitely a little bitter sweet on Wednesday moving out the very last of our things. However, I know that in our next home we will make even more memories to make it ours!

We are so excited about the next "chapter" in our lives....

(This is Z signing our closing papers, he was doing the "Erin" smile)

Currently this chapter begins in a rent home that looks like a tornado came through, also known as 2 dogs (Ace and Louie) and all of our "crap".

We received some AMAZING news this week that we are officially 60 days away from our home being completed!!!!

So fingers crossed we are moving in mid June!

I {Need} Big Things....

Z is fully convinced that I need big events or something to look forward/work towards to keep me occupied. Now, that may be right, but who am I to let my husband think he is right ALL the time!

Since college I have had BIG events to look forward too....

May 2009 - Graduated College

July 2009 - Got my first big kid job

January 2010 - Bought my first home

November 2010 - Got engaged to the most amazing man...have you heard of him?

November 2011 - Got Married!!!!

2012 was a horrible year and everything was an event!

2013 - Z and I both got new jobs!

February 2013 - Listed our house

February 2013 - Sold our house

April - July 2013 - Anxiously waiting for OUR FIRST HOME TO BE COMPLETED!!!

We are so excited and Z even agreed to some pictures!

This is looking at our future fireplace!

My future kitchen...and I say MINE because its my favorite place in the house!

We have had so much fun picking out paint colors and looking at the furniture we will be purchasing for our new home!!

Now if my nerves can last until July....

PS. Welcome new readers and thank you current readers for hanging out during my hiatus! I promise this will never happen again! Like I said nerves and stress are the craziest thing and I working on not letting it make me crazier than I already am!

{Highs} and Lows

At Dinner on New Year's Eve I had everyone say what their highs and lows were of 2012 and what they were most looking forward too in 2013.

It was definitely just a fun little thing to do before our food arrived but I wanted to share them with you and ask you gals the same thing....What were your highs and lows of 2012?

My 2012 Lows:

Being super stressed at the beginning of the year for a job that I did not enjoy.
Z having to travel so much for his job.
Z getting laid off from said job.
Z's grandpa's health.
Not getting to put our home on the market in December.

My 2012 Highs:

Getting out of the horrible work situation I was in at the beginning of the year and getting a job with a company that I love!
Z getting a job only 3 short days after being laid off and getting a job with people that treat him well.
Paying off one of our cars!
Celebrating 1 year of marriage to my love!
Our anniversary trip to Fredericksburg!
Our family vacation with my family to Port A.

I know there are many many many more highs as we are so blessed to serve a loving and giving God who always provides for us and makes sure we are taken care of.

I am looking forward to a year of simplicity for Z and I. To slow down and enjoy what we have right now and not to be looking into the future.

2012 really taught us a lot and if we can survive our first year of marriage, which is already hard enough with out the added extra stuff, then I know that 2013 will be a breeze!

What are you looking forward to in 2013?
