The {Red} Dress Boutique

I know that we all follow all of the super cute boutiques on Facebook, and all
of our wallets pay for it!

I am no exception to the rule..I am pretty sure following The Red Dress Boutique has not
helped with my impulse shopping since they always have the cutest clothes!

I was so very lucky to catch a status on Facebook from The Red Dress Boutique, asking any bloggers out there to email them if they would like to work together!

What a better collaboration...I just happen to LOVE all of their clothes!

After getting everything set up, I came home one day to the greatest fun mail ever!

Cutest packaging ever! I love their sticker!

Friday {Favs}

Today I am linking up with Lindsey at The Bargain Blonde and showing you gals my
Friday Favorites!!!

Pinned Image

This potato soup recipe I made this week! It is sooo yummy and super easy!

This Geo Draped Sweater I scored from Forever21 for $29...sadly it's no longer available but you can get a similar one here!

The new line of hair products a friend just introduced me too! They are very cheap! I use the Beach Babe Spray to add texture to my hair to keep my curls in longer and us the Beat the Heat Spray to protect my hair from all of the hair drying and curling I do everyday!

And I can't even believe I am about to write this...but my new favorite workout! It's only 20 minutes and it kicks your bootay in a good way! (granted I am only on day 3, check back next week to see if I am still praising this....)

Well these are all of the things I am loving this week! What are somethings you are loving lately??

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday and weekend! I got the day off today and I am spending it with my Mom at Canton Trade Days!!!

Summer Makeup {Routine}

Since the heat is completely unbearable in Texas and trying to wear your normal full out makeup routine in 500+ weather is not an option, I change up my makeup routine for the summer!

Prior to starting my "foundation" I just started using ELF brand primer

I just discoverd this little gem about a month ago and for only $6 I had to try it! It is really good and does not leave you greasy.

I then apply Garnier BB Creme

I just started using this about a month ago as well - the verdict is still out on it. My skin has definitely improved since wearing it but it does not blend very well. I really have to make sure I have rubbed it in really well.

Then cover up my dark circles and zits with Nutrogena concealer

I have used this 3 in 1 concealer for a couple of years now and love it! It really does the job and last all day.

Then for my prize possession....the Naked eye pallet

All of these colors are perfect for what ever summer outfit I have on.

And last but not least I end with ELF blush, bronzer and mascara

I may be very influenced by the Bargain Blonde and her makeup reviews!

What is your go to summer makeup product?

Product Review - All About My {Hurr}

Girls I do not know about you, but I put my poor hair through a lot....from washing and drying it pretty much ever day, as well as curling, ratting and hair spray...I am surprised I have the hair that I do!

I had been looking for something that would give my hair some nutrients and condition it at the same time, when I came across a blog post from Style Me Swanky.

She posted a whole blog about becoming more beautiful over night...read it here.

That is when I found this miracle worker!!

This deep repair is like putting lotion on your hair. I was a little freaked out the first time I put it on my hair just because of the way it feels, however it works really well.

I put it on my hair every Sunday before bed. I normally just wet my hair, brush it, apply the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque, comb it through my hair and then wrap my hair in a bun on top of my head.

In the morning I wake up and wash my hair like normal.

This has really helped my hair tremendously....it says you can use it two times a week, my hair is not that dry so I just apply on Sundays.

For a pretty big size tub is only $30 at Ulta, and I just saw this yesterday at Target for $29.99.

I have used this now for a little over a month and have not made a dent in it. I know $30 is a lot to spend on something you only use once a week, however it will last you a while.

Do you girls have anything that is a miracle worker for your hair?? Do share!

Product Review {Mary Kay}

My friend from college, Jenny, sent me a whole goodie bag of Mary Kay! I was so excited to try everything out since it has been a very long time since I have tried Mary Kay.

The first product I tried was the Eyeliner in Violet Ink

I was a little worried at first because I had never worn purple eyeliner but it actually looked really good with my brown eyes. This eyeliner went on very easy and stayed on all day. I will definitely be purchasing this!

The next product I tried was the TimeWise Luminous Wear Liquid Foundation

The shade she sent me was a little lighter than my skin (not her fault, it is hard to judge someones skin tone if they are not right in front of you), however it was amazing coverage and I did not feel like I had a ton of foundation caked on all day. This product is also anti aging....I am all about fighting wrinkles early!

I also tried the Ultimate Mascara

This mascara I did have to apply more than I normally do because it does not seem to go on as thick as I like for my mascara to be. I do not have long beautiful eyelashes so I need a lot of help in that department. One thing that is nice about this is that it does not clump.

The last product and my most favorite product was the TimeWise Miracle Set

I absolutely love love this skin care line! Like I said before I am all for fighting wrinkles early on so that they are not there or not visible when I get older! I really loved the cleanser because it had little beads in it that I felt were really cleaning my face and getting rid of dirt.

The day and night lotion was very light and not greasy.

My overall experience trying out Mary Kay went really well. I will definitely be purchasing the Time Wise Miracle Set and the Violet Ink Eyeliner.

Do you have any favorite Mary Kay items?

****If you buy Mary Kay or want to try it for the first time, Jenny is offering 15% off to my blog followers! Just mention that you heard about it from me and she will give you 15% off your order!***

Product Review {Dry Shampoo}

I am all for not washing my hair everyday since my hair gets pretty dry. I have tried a couple of different dry shampoo's, one being Tresemme Dry Shampoo which I liked but getting the shampoo to actually come out of the container was another story.

I have read some tweets and blogs about Ballistic Dry Shampoo, so the other day at Ulta I found it!

I am absolutely in love with this dry shampoo. It does not add grease to your hair and it always comes out of the bottle!!

I am currently using the Ballistic Fresh Dry Shampoo...but I am on the hunt for the volumizing one!!

Product Review - Forever21 Makeup Brushes

First thing...this is my first time blogging from my phone and I like it! Makes it quick and easy to share news with y'all!

This past weekend Alyssa and I went to Northeast Mall, it is now THE mall since they have gotten a enormous Forever21 and they have Nordstrom! My two favorite stores!

We went strolling through the new Forever21 and that is like the ultimate torture for me right now since I am not suppose to be buying anything for my self!

Well while I was strolling through their accessories I stumbled upon the greatest thing ever and had to break the "no buy" rule!

It is like the ultimate bag of makeup brushes for a small price of $17.50!! What a deal! Normally one brush is at least $20!

The brushes are absolutely amazing an surprising very well made for cheaply made Forever21!

This would make such a good sticking stuffer for all of your makeup obsessed girls like my self!!!

Product Review - {Ice Cream} Machine

We have gotten so many amazing gifts from our wedding showers and one of Z's favorite is the Cuisinart Ice Cream Machine.

He literally made ice cream 2 times last week because it was so easy.

He read the directions all by himself and made it!

All of the yummy toppings we got with our ice cream machine!

So yummy!!!

This makes ice cream really fast, only 20 minutes, and it comes with a bunch of easy recipes!

New Fall Line Love and {MUST} Have

While looking through my Glamour magazine I stumbled upon Banana Republic's new Mad Men Collection.  I can honestly say that I have never been a huge Banana Republic fan, however they completely stepped up their game with this new collection.

I seriously could buy all of these outfit options for Z and me! I am absolutely in LOVE with all of it! Luckily for me and my pocket book if you buy something now from Banana Republic they give you coupons that start the last Wednesday in August for % off of their Mad Men Collection.

I will be there on that Wednesday coupons in hand ready for some amazing clothes!

Some Of My {New} Favorite Things

So lately I have had a hard time keeping my skin clear the past couple of months and honestly this is the only cleanser that has been helping. Its not harsh on your skin but you can tell its working.

Its never too early to start wrinkle cream, even at age...well that's not important. This lotion is very light and doesn't require a lot to cover your face.

I have been wearing MAC foundation but since it has been 100+ I dont want to wear anything heavy on my face. Aveeno tinted moisterizer is perfect to cover your face and it feels like you have nothing on.

Tresemme Dry Shampoo is AMAZING! I try to not wash my hair everyday and the dry shampoo makes it feel clean. I also use this on my hair when I just washed it and want a lot of body.

I bought this to snack on while floating the river during my bachelorette party weekend. This trail mix is soooo good and you can get it at Target!

What are some of your new favorite things??

Beauty and The {Beast}

Since I bought my home in January 2010 it has been a work in progress decorating, remodeling and updating the appliances. The appliances that came with my home were the same ones they had
back in 1980 something when it was built.

So the lovely dirty white egg shell color was what I was living with for a VVVEERRRYYY long time. My first appliances to buy were the dishwasher and microwave. The last two to replace were the stove and the refrigerator.

The stove and I have a love hate relationship....I don't love it by any means due to it's dirty white egg shell color, however I never hated it as much as I hated the refrigerator.

My mom is a realtor here in Texas, so in turn if she sells a house and someone is getting rid of something in the house she normally helps them find someone willing to take it. Like a very normal looking fridge that I learned very quickly on why the people wanted to GIVE it away and not sell it!

The stupid refrigerator from day one froze EVERYTHING...except beer for some odd reason. We could only use the first 5 inches of the shelves because one millimeter back and it was frozen for good. I wasted so much money on ruined veggies, fruits, etc.

So a couple of weeks ago after visiting Z's parents and complaining for the 5000 time that our refrigerator sucked....Z's dad decided we would get an early wedding present!!! Our very own stainless steel refrigerator!!

I have never been soooo excited about an appliance in my life! I can remember telling my mother that I would never be one of those women who wanted a blinder, toaster, etc for any birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc....EVER.

Oh how things change when you are desperate to have a fridge instead of a stand up freezer!!

Here is a picture of our new and very stylish refrigerator

I already decorated it with our magnets!! Don't mind our dirty white egg shell oven...that baby will be gone in a couple of weeks as well!!

And here is the beast/devil/span of Satan/whatever else you want to call it

So yes to eat my words I have turned into ones of "those" women who will take appliances as presents...P-A-T-H-T-I-C

Product Review {Doggy} Treats

Above is the light of my life as well as the biggest pain in my behind. He is a little on the hefty size,
however he is stocky and definitely never misses a meal. Sometimes he gets dinner twice because Z and I do not communicate.

Really the only time he gets a treat is when he goes into his kennel. I try to praise him for getting in his kennel so its a positive experience for him. With this Texas heat I bought him this week at Target
some ice cream frosty treats just for dogs!

Needless to say he absolutely loves them and will do about anything you want him to
do....well almost!

Then one of his grandma's (Z's mom) got him this very loud squeaky donut from Bed Bath and Beyond. Ace is not really a big toy dog,  he normally only likes toys that other dogs
are playing with. However he loves loves this donut!

If you know of anything that will keep him from getting on my couch please share! I am willing to try anything, even possibly getting rid of the couch all together!
