Wedding Wednesday - {Registry}

So.....I have been completely slacking on my Wedding Wednesday blogs. With how our lives
have turned into a whirlwind with only 3 months until we are married (which I just realized
as I am writing this and completely freaked out!), I have been doing EVERYTHING wedding and
forget to blog about it!

With that being said, let "My Favorite Registry Items" Begin:

Our flatware - From Macy's

kitchen aid ksm150ps stand mixer 5 qt. artisan in pistachio

Martha Stewart Collection Round Pie/Cake Carrier

Hotel Collection towels in Wasabi, Chamois, and Ivory for our guest bath

Margaritaville Margarita Machine

Cabinet Organizers
_____________________________________________________________________

One thing I did learn while registering is to register for anything you want. It is a wish list
after all! Both Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond told us that you are "suppose" to register for twice
as many gifts as invites....well we are sending out 200 invites, I can not seriously think of 400 items.

With our experience Macy's was so much more organized and nicer to work with. They have a woman who is completely designated to just wedding registries...I would love to have her job!

At Bed Bath and Beyond we had two scanners break and each time we needed to speak to someone regarding the registry no one wanted to help us. It may have just been an off night for them, so I will give them time to redeem themselves.

The next stop we have is Lowes! Z should certainly enjoy it a little more!

Beauty and The {Beast}

Since I bought my home in January 2010 it has been a work in progress decorating, remodeling and updating the appliances. The appliances that came with my home were the same ones they had
back in 1980 something when it was built.

So the lovely dirty white egg shell color was what I was living with for a VVVEERRRYYY long time. My first appliances to buy were the dishwasher and microwave. The last two to replace were the stove and the refrigerator.

The stove and I have a love hate relationship....I don't love it by any means due to it's dirty white egg shell color, however I never hated it as much as I hated the refrigerator.

My mom is a realtor here in Texas, so in turn if she sells a house and someone is getting rid of something in the house she normally helps them find someone willing to take it. Like a very normal looking fridge that I learned very quickly on why the people wanted to GIVE it away and not sell it!

The stupid refrigerator from day one froze EVERYTHING...except beer for some odd reason. We could only use the first 5 inches of the shelves because one millimeter back and it was frozen for good. I wasted so much money on ruined veggies, fruits, etc.

So a couple of weeks ago after visiting Z's parents and complaining for the 5000 time that our refrigerator sucked....Z's dad decided we would get an early wedding present!!! Our very own stainless steel refrigerator!!

I have never been soooo excited about an appliance in my life! I can remember telling my mother that I would never be one of those women who wanted a blinder, toaster, etc for any birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc....EVER.

Oh how things change when you are desperate to have a fridge instead of a stand up freezer!!

Here is a picture of our new and very stylish refrigerator

I already decorated it with our magnets!! Don't mind our dirty white egg shell oven...that baby will be gone in a couple of weeks as well!!

And here is the beast/devil/span of Satan/whatever else you want to call it

So yes to eat my words I have turned into ones of "those" women who will take appliances as presents...P-A-T-H-T-I-C

Bridal Brunch - Wedding {Kick} Off

This past weekend one of my bridesmaids and bff, Alyssa threw me a Bridal Brunch. In case
you don't follow her on twitter or her blog, Alyssa does nothing small. My brunch was
amazing!! She went all out and even used her grandmother's crystal!

Since there were 6 of us girls chatting it up we completely forgot to take a picture
of Alyssa's beautiful presentation...I am super bummed! Maybe we can pretend and set it
up again just for a photo shoot! :)

Alyssa had deviled eggs, 3 central market dips, cracker assortment, cucumber sandwiches, muffins, fruit and of course greeted us all with mimosas!! This girl may or may not have had one too many...but you
only get to do this once right???

After we finished our goodies Alyssa took all of us to a vintage shop in Dallas so we could look
for 80's attire for the first night of my bachelorette party (Which is this coming weekend...EEEKKKK!!!!)

The place had some pretty awesome stuff, however the creep who ran it was on us like white
on rice like we were going to steal something...really D-Bag??

Anywho hear is a look at 3 of the costumes found in the "80's Prom" section...Hannah's outfit came from the "Hoochie Momma" section. No lie they had their sections named!

Literally bending was a must in this outfit....however I feel like Jana rocked it!!

So never mind that my face is blurry in this picture and I look like a Tina Turner wanna be....Hannah's dress was soooo banging...she was very worried she would draw the wrong crowd if she wore it. I would think the trashy leopard and open back would only bring "daddies" that are looking for a classy lady! Poor thing she was a good sport and modeled it on for us!

***side note: by definition, when I say "daddies" or "daddy" I am referring to a silver fox***

Overall the day was so much fun and I had such a blast with my best girlfriends! I couldn't ask for
a better kick off to my wedding festivities!!!
